spent the weekend visiting with friends in brooklyn,ny

getting a lot of wifi blessed computer time in

on sunday it rained 5 times

as i road my t rusty stead i mean bike around manhattan..

across the manhattan bridge

up to central park by way of time square
road the brooklyn bridge back
i waited out one of the downpours underneath the awning of
the david letterman show
nice...dry...

meanwhile i hear the same storm was ripping up trees & powerlines

all over new jersey just across the hudson
& there i am during another downpour

huddled with all the other tourist fish
under the nasdaq awning in timesquare

transfixed by all the pritty lights, billboards of

advertising sex, soldiers, & hardware,
video screens galore like in "blade runner",
news crawls

& the pictures of soldiers with guns jumping out of

& into things facinating

this was before the rain
& before i got to shoot the video clip in sheeps meadow in central park
where i can usually find someone to throw frisbee with
there is this strange and wonderous sound like
a hundred diggeree dooos in a big concret box

then drove west thru chicago....
